Privacy Policy

How The Paycheck Pilot collects, uses, and protects your information.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters, and this policy is written in plain English on purpose. Here’s what happens with your information on The Paycheck Pilot.

Information we collect

You actively give us:

  • Contact form messages — your name, email address, and message content when you contact us. Used only to reply to you.

Collected automatically:

  • Basic analytics — we use privacy-friendly, cookie-light analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to see aggregate patterns like which articles are popular. This does not use cross-site tracking cookies and does not identify you personally.
  • Server logs — like every website, our host logs standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting. Logs are retained briefly and not used to profile visitors.

We do not run accounts, comments, or newsletters at this time, so we don’t store passwords or preference profiles.

Some links on this site are affiliate links to third-party merchants (banks, budgeting apps, retailers). When you click one, you leave our site and the merchant’s own privacy policy applies. We don’t control their data practices — review their policies before signing up. We receive only aggregate referral counts from affiliate networks, never your personal or financial details.

Cookies

This site itself sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Embedded third-party content is minimal by design. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

How we use information

  • To respond to messages you send us.
  • To understand which content is useful (aggregate analytics only).
  • To keep the site secure and functional.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone, except as required by law.

Data retention

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Analytics data is aggregated and retained per our analytics provider’s standard retention.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us at [email protected]. Depending on where you live (including California under CCPA/CPRA and the EU/UK under GDPR), you may have additional rights — we honor them all.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date below and note the change here. Minor clarifications may be made without notice.
